Humpback Whales Migrating in Mozambique
If you have ever dreamed of diving in the same waters as Humpback Whales, Manta Rays and Whale Sharks?
The Mozambique coastline is famous for sightings of these magnificent creatures and now if the time to see Humpback Whales migrating. Our partnersĀ at Barra Dive, tell us of daily sightings during June – September. Boat rides can take a little longer than usual you stop to watch them leaping and jumping with their babies.
Barra Lodge is located on Mozambique’s Manta coast and its diving compares with some of the best in the world. Manta Point is a firm favourite with Lisa and her dive team with encounters practically guaranteed.
Now is the time to travel to Barra Lodge and experience for yourself the beauty of Mozambique and incredible diving with the oceans gentle giants
Scuba Diving Holidays: Tropical Sky
If you’ve ever dived Jackson Reef or Shark/Yolanda in high season, you’ll know how noisy diving can be … all those boats and zodiacs gunning their engines.
Well, at times, diving in Mozambique can be almost as noisy … but with whalesong. In a week’s diving in August, it actually becomes most noticeable when you don’t hear any whales!
Though we saw whales every day – from the beach and the dive boats – we were never fortunate enough to meet any on scuba … except for nearly being run over by a swift-moving humpback as we surfaced at the end of one dive!
But there was much, much more to our Mozambique adventure. I’ll tell you more later!
